Alex is a member of the Photoskop team since the very beginning. It was his idea to develop a platform for interactive learning of photography. Alex is a scientist at German university. He works on data analysis and has hard times to extract useful information from scientific data. His major fields are Computer Vision and Image Processing.
Photography was always one of his interests. He thinks that everyone should do photography. In our millennium photography becomes as important communication medium as the writing in the past centuries. Clearly, it requires a certain visual literacy - it is not enough to just snap a photograph. Much more thought has to be inside the frame.
Alex believes that it is important to create a widely accessible learning platform which will help not only to learn, but also to share the knowledge among the creative community.
His favorite genres are portraiture, landscape, and fashion photography. Alex is always impressed by the effective capture of dynamics in the photograph. The more action, meaning or momentum is there, the more likely he will say "wow". He likes both complexity and simplicity in the photographs. Except photography, Alex is also fascinated by the generative art, infographics and scientific visualization.
